Areas and projects covered include: the Clean Water Act; NPDES permits; Environmental Assessments review; Solid Waste/Landfills; Brownfields; Surface Mining permitting, industrial development authorities; local governments and utilities boards; and construction related activities. We have represented both permit applicants and opponents at the administrative, state and federal levels. We have extensive experience in reviewing environmental site assessments and expert reports, as well as long standing relationships with a variety of expert witnesses and scientific and technical consultants. We have handled matters before the Alabama Department of Environmental Management, Alabama Surface Mining Commission, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, as well as litigation in state and federal courts.
